Pow! The Intro

Phil X & The Drills’ new album, POW! Right In The Kisser, has been in the works for over 10 years, and is finally here.

Phil X is a Canadian guitarist who got his first big break in 1992 when he joined power trio Triumph on their Edge Of Excess album, after guitarist Rik Emmett left the band. Since 2011, Phil has been playing and recording with Bon Jovi.

Aside from his ‘day job’ with Bon Jovi, Phil X & The Drills have released 5 EPs and LPs since 2009.

Phil joined me for a chat about the new album, his influences influence on his guitar playing, his Mount MoreRush of Canadian guitarists, jammin’ with Billy Gibbons, the all-star lineup of drummers on the new album and so much more.
