Jack De Keyzer is a Canadian blues guitarist/singer/songwriter/producer who has won 2 Juno Awards (Canadian Grammy) for Blues album of the year (The Corkwood Sessions and 6 String Lover). He has won 7 Maple Blues Awards and CBC’s Great Canadian Blues award which was voted on by listeners.
He has released 9 solo albums with another, a CD of influential blues cover sngs, set to drop soon. He has also appeared on countless albums as a session guitarist or performed live with artists such as Etta James, Otis Ruch, Bo Diddley, Blue Rodeo, Ronnie Hawkins and many more.
The late, great Jeff Healey called him the “finest blues guitarist in Canada.”
Bob Dylan told him that he would be famous if he was living in New York or LA.
Jack was kind enough to give LEt’s Rock some of his time to discuss the new album, his influences, trying to break into the States and much more.
