Ron Thal is back with his Art Of Anarchy bandmates with a rockin’ new single called Vilified. The new album, Let There Be Anarchy, will be released in February of 2024, and features new vocalist Jeff Scott Soto and new bassist Tony Dickinson.
Chatting with Ron Thal is always a pleasure. What starts as an interview about the new single turns into an hour long discussion about everything from Jimi and Eddie, to Kiss to producing to technology and even name changes.
This was a long one, so I’ve split it into three parts.
PART 1
Ron talks about the new Art Of Anarchy album and single, the addition of Jeff Scott Soto and Tony Dickinson, Jon Votta’s near death experience and more.
PART 2
We talk about Ron’s new instrumental solo album and all the goodies he has planned for it, producing The Dodies and Sierra Levesque, drummer Kyle Hughes and the decision to tour less and coach more.
PART 3
Why is Jimi Hendrix always at the top of the greatest guitarists list, Eddie Van Halen, KISS, technology and, dare I say it, disco, all come up in this portion of the chat.
There’s a ton of great stuff in these interviews. It’s always a pleasure to chat with Ron.
