Let’s Rock Chats With Honeymoon Suite’s Johnnie Dee

Almost 40 years after the releae of their self-titled debut, Honeymoon Suite is back with a great new album, Alive.

The record contains that familiar Honeymoon Suite sound, with fantastic production from Mike Krompass, whose songwriting and production credits include artists like Meghan Trainor, Steven Tyler, Theory of a Dead Man and Smash Mouth.

Four of the five original members of the band recorded Alive, which is an incredible feat after so long together. And the music shows that the creative chemistry is still there.

In this chat, Johnnie talks about opening for Billy Idol and Jethro Tull, how to add new songs to a setlist with out removing too many of the band’s classic songs and much more.

We also go through each track from the new album to discuss how they were put together and what the lyrics mean.

Make sure you catch Honeymoon Suite in a city near you. These dudes put on a great show.
